GLORY TO GLORY:

"But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day." (Proverbs 4:18).

As a child of God, your life is of ever-increasing glory. Regardless of the successes and victories you may have experienced so far, there’s still so much you can achieve! You can still ascend higher and move to a higher level in your journey of success, for there’s no end to the glory of the child of God.

Some people function at a certain level of productivity and wouldn’t aspire for more until they get tired of that present level. For me, I don’t like to wait until I am tired; I like to make more progress! That’s the life we have in Christ—it’s from glory to glory. My journey of success is in one direction: Upward and forward.

Never be comfortable to remain in one spot for too long, no matter the laurels you were decorated with at that level. Conquer new grounds; chart new frontiers! Aspire to go higher. In the course of their journey to the Promised Land, the Israelites once dwelt in Mount Horeb. But seeing they were making that location a "comfort-zone" God admonished them through Moses to move ahead (Deuteronomy 1:5-6).

Also, at Shiloh, Joshua challenged the children of Israel asking, "For how long will you wait here, while there’s still so much land for you to possess?" (Joshua 18:3). Even at age eight-five, Caleb was willing to go to war and claim more lands for the Lord (Joshua 14:10-11). You were called to a life of unending success and victory; that’s what we read in our opening verse; your path is as the shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day.

May the Holy Spirit open your eyes to see and apprehend your next level of success. May He enlighten your heart to comprehend the next and higher level of glory He’s prepared for you, and impart you with the divine unction to ascend to that level, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

CHRISTMAS! CELEBRATING CHRIST:

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." (Colossians 1:27)

Colossians 2:9 tells us that in Christ Jesus dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; that includes the Father, and the Holy Spirit. This is the reason when you call the Name Jesus, the Holy Spirit, who is the power of God and the doer of God’s works, goes into action. He answers to that Name. Colossians 1:19 says, "For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently."

Jesus never needed to get wisdom, knowledge or power from anywhere else but inside Him. In Him"… are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians 2:3). He never needed more of God, because the totality of Deity was inside Him. This is the quality of the Person of Jesus; He is "loaded" with God! No wonder He declared of Himself: "For even as the Father has life in Himself and is self-existent, so He has given to the Son to have life in Himself and be self-existent" (John 5:26 AMP). He is everything that God is.

In the same vein, if you have received Christ into your life, you have everything! Christ in you is all you need! You don’t need to source for wisdom, knowledge or power from outside anymore; look inwards! The Bible says you are complete in Christ (Colossians 2:10); that means you are perfected in Him, who is the full representation or icon of the Godhead. There is nothing lacking or missing in your life today, because there is nothing you didn’t get in Christ Jesus.

This is the real meaning of Christmas; it is the celebration of the life of Christ in you. Christmas means much more than the birth of the infant Jesus in a manger; it is the celebration of Christ and all that we are and have in Him. The Word declares that as He (Jesus) is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). In Christ, we have EVERYTHING we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Let this mind be in you as you celebrate today. Amen

POSSESSOR OF ALL THINGS:

"Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours." (1 Corinthians 3:21).

The latter part of the verse of scripture above is a present-hour reality; it is not a promise. A Christian is a possessor; he is not someone who is trying to have. This is very important, and it is one truth you must hold on to for your faith to be as effective as it should.

Something you need to understand about the subject of faith is that faith is NOW. It doesn’t look forward to the blessings of God coming to pass; it possesses. So in walking by faith, you are not hoping or believing to have anything, for you already possess all things. You are not expecting anything from God, for all things have been made available to you in Christ Jesus.

Many people express hope and wonder why there's been no change in their situation. Faith is what works; not hope. Hope is futuristic, while faith is of the present. Hope says, "I believe for a miracle" but faith says "I have a miracle!" There’s a great difference between the two. You are already a believer, and that makes you a possessor: "He that believeth…hath…!" (John 3:36). So stop waiting for God to do something about your case; take what is yours.

Don’t wait; take your healing now. Take that new job. That miracle you thought would happen last year but didn’t happen, because you were "believing God" for it, failed, because believing is not faith, and faith is not believing! Stop saying, "I believe I will receive my healing someday," say, "I have divine health, therefore I refuse to be sick." That’s what the Word says: "And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity" (Isaiah 33:24).

MIND YOUR TONGUE:

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." (Proverbs 18:21)

Life will produce for you a harvest of what you say. Your words bring into your life the things you talk about, whether good or bad. You can’t consistently speak vain, inoperative or faithless words and expect progress. In the same way, you can’t speak faith-filled words consistently and live an ordinary life.

The Scriptures are replete with teachings on the creative power and potency of our words. In Mark 11:23, Jesus said, "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."

God has given you His Word, His Spirit, and a tongue to create the future you desire. You can be everything He has planned for you to be and attain the highest height of your potential in life if you would learn to use your tongue right. Never talk failure, weakness, sickness, lack or fear. Speak words of faith all the time. Build your future with your tongue.

Are there good things you want to make happen in your life this year? Start speaking them forth! Remember, what you say is what you will get. So no matter what your expectations are for the year, talk them into being. Or is it a situation you want changed? The solution is in your mouth. No matter what the problem may be or how big it may seem, speak God’s Word and see it resolved.

Hallelujah!

THINK POSITIVE:

"Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8)

Contrary to what some think, your thoughts can make or mar you. Your thoughts actually determine the quality of your life, for every man is the character of his thoughts. That is why the Bible says "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…" (Proverbs 23:7). It matters a great deal the thoughts that go through your mind because your life won’t be different from how you think.

Your mind is the doorway to your spirit. If it isn’t filled with the right kind of information, you may not be able to receive guidance from the Holy Spirit as you should.

This year, you have to consciously decide to think the right thoughts; think on God’s truths. The opening scripture clearly outlines what to think on—whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, of virtue, and worthy of praise!

If you ever find yourself in a challenging situation, instead of thinking on the problem and magnifying it, insist that you are going to think only on what the Word says concerning the issue. Think the Word only. Don’t think the way the rest of the world thinks; use God’s Word to change your thought-life. Let His Word occupy your thought processes morning, noon and night.

As you reflect upon the Word, there will be a metamorphosis; it will make you talk right and you will go through each day of this year in victory. Nothing in all of creation can be truer, more just, more honest, and lovelier than the Word of God. Spend time today to think on God’s Word!

HEAVENLY IMAGE:

"As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly." (1 Corinthians 15:48)

The Bible tells us in the book of Genesis how God formed Adam, the first man, from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and Adam became a living soul. The Word described him as earthy because he was of the earth and possessed the natural human life: "The first man is of the earth, earthy…" (1 Corinthians 15:47). We are however introduced to a second and last Adam in 1 Corinthians 15:45: "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit."

The first Adam was the man in the garden, but the second or last Adam is the Lord from heaven—the Lord Jesus Christ: "The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven" (1 Corinthians 15:47). Reading further into the forty ninth verse of 1 Corinthians 15 (AMP), the Apostle Paul says something very striking: "And just as we have borne the image [of the man] of dust, so shall we {and so} {let us} also bear the image [of the Man] of heaven."

Everyone on earth was born after the first Adam, meaning that we have all borne the image of the earthy. However, when a man is born again, he is cut off from the first Adam and born after Christ. He becomes a heavenly man on earth, and he is expected to walk in this newness of life, after the image of him that created him. Notice the Amplified rendering of 1 Corinthians 15:49, the latter part says, "…Let us also bear...," inferring therefore that it is our responsibility to bear the image of the heavenly.

Accept what God has said about you in His Word. If He has said you are a new creation, accept it and be bold to say the same about yourself and act accordingly. Simply say "yes" to God’s Word today. Hallelujah!

GOD LOVES YOU:

"Behold! what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not." (1 John 3:1)

God didn’t create you to be a failure but to be head over all things. He wants you to walk in the liberty and full assurance of His love, knowing that you’re beyond condemnation due to His infallible, unconditional and eternal love for you (Romans 8:1). He loves you just the way you are.

You didn’t have to struggle to earn God’s love, for you could never earn it by your own works but by grace; it’s a gift from God. All you have to do is accept His love as simply as it has come to you, and you will never remain the same again. God demonstrated His great and boundless love for us, while we were yet in sin. Perhaps you are wondering, "Can God possibly love someone like me?" Emphatically yes. No matter what kind of life you may have lived, He loves you just the way you are; you can take advantage of His great love today.

The consciousness of God’s love will change you for the better and inspire you to love other people. His love gives you the ability to live in the liberty of His Word and enjoy His abundant life. God’s love will carry you over all the circumstances of life. Jesus said He doesn’t have to pray to the Father on your behalf, since the Father Himself loves you (John 16:26). Take advantage of His great love today.

Remember, Jesus didn’t come to save us because we were many; no! He did because of His love. You are the object of His love. Be conscious of this truth today; God loves you more than you can possibly imagine.

SERVE GOD; WHOLE HEART:

"My son give me thine heart and let thine eyes observe my ways." (Proverbs 23:26)

From our opening verse, it’s clear what the Lord wants: Your heart, and for your eyes to observe His ways. He wants you to serve Him and follow Him with whole-hearted devotion. Trust the Lord with your life and future without reservation.

At the beginning of every new year, there are those who are apprehensive and uncertain about what the new year holds. But as a Child of God you don’t need to have any fears, worries or uncertainties about the year. Just make certain to live every day of the year in the will of God by committing yourself to doing His Work. Others may call you a fool for loving the Lord and serving Him with your life, but you can never be a fool for faith.

Nothing compares to living for Jesus. It’s the highest calling and honour! The Bible says, "He died for all, so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but only for him who died and was raised to life for their sake" (2 Corinthians 5:15). The man or woman who walks with the Lord is well positioned in life; he is the one described in Psalm 1:3 as a tree planted by the rivers of water; everything he does prospers. He experiences maximum fulfilment and joy in life because his passion, emotions, desires and appetites are founded on Christ and the propagation of the Gospel.

Commit yourself to the Lord now more than ever before. Let Him have a say in all that you do; follow His Word and yield to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Take your acts of worship and devotions seriously; don’t skip Church services, fellowship meetings and other spiritual activities in your local assembly. Follow the Lord with all your heart and serve Him with your life. Make a definite commitment to live for Him and do His will only, and teach others to do the same.

IN GOD'S NAME:

"At that time you won't need to ask me for anything, for you can go directly to the Father and ask Him, and he will give you what you ask for because you use my name. You have not tried this before, but begin now. Ask using my name and you will receive and your cup of joy will overflow." (John 16:23-24)

If there’s anything you desire, you can put your faith to work today for a miracle. You can ask the Father in the Name of Jesus, and receive the answer. The Lord doesn’t want you sad, bitter or frustrated in life. If that has been your experience, it’s time for a change and you can make it glorious. You can create a new destiny for yourself, because God wants your joy to be full, not sometimes, but always. That is why He gave you an open invitation to ask anything in the Name of Jesus and expect answers: "For every one that asks receives..." (Matthew 7:8).

Not only is the Lord able, He’s equally willing to grant any request you make of Him. No wonder Jesus, with assurance said in Luke 11:9, "...Ask and it shall be given you...." God is a giver; He gives generously and graciously to all without holding back (James 1:5). Romans 8:32 says, "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" This describes your heavenly Father’s liberality and benevolence towards you. He doesn’t consider anything too good for you. The Bible says He gives us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).

Yours is to act on His open invitation by asking in the Name of Jesus, and receive. Jesus said in Luke 12:32 "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom." It delights the Lord to bless you and do you good. The Scripture says that He daily loads us with benefits (Psalm 68:19).

Always remember that the Lord is interested in you; it’s always His joy to answer your prayers and grant you your heart’s desires. John 15:7 says "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." This is your assurance—abiding in Him, and His Word abiding in you—therefore whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive, and your cup of joy will overflow. Praise God!

PRAYER IS THE KEY:

"And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint." (Luke 18:1)

The Lord Jesus, in Luke 18:1-8 enjoins us through a parable the need to persevere and be importunate in prayer. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 instructs to "Pray without ceasing." That is because through prayer our spirits are conditioned to become dependable receptacles of God’s ideas, visions and promptings. You may want to ask "How about if you feel reluctant to pray, does it mean one is spiritually weak?"

First, such a feeling doesn’t necessarily mean you’re weak, but it does signify a problem you have to deal with. Prayer is your life’s work, and you must do it. This means irrespective of how you feel, you must maintain discipline in prayer, and that is how to prevail over circumstances.

Secondly, you should learn to stir up your spirit. 1 Corinthians 14:4 says "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself…." Speaking in tongues is synonymous with recharging your spirit like a battery. This helps you respond to the Lord more quickly from your spirit.

Also, the scriptures highlight for us practical steps on how to always be filled with the Spirit (Read Ephesians 5:18-21). For the one who is continually filled with the Spirit, prayer is never a drag, but a moment of divine ecstasy; a time to revel in the love, bliss and grace of God’s embrace.

Fourthly, take advantage of prayer times with other Christians. This will help you develop a passion for prayer and a richer relationship and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Master your special prayer times, if you have none, connect with the Spirit and you will know yours. This will help you develop a consistent and exciting prayer life.

RULE OVER YOUR SPIRIT:

"Like a city whose walls are broken down, is a man who lacks self-control." (Proverbs 25:28)

A new convert in my fellowship, Bernard; asked.

Bernard: How do I get over my addictions? "I have tried speaking to them but I am still tempted to do the same things. What should I do?"

Me: First, you’re not supposed to be speaking to your addictions, but to yourself. You can talk to your addictions all year long, but nothing will change.

Me: Secondly, you have to add some other qualities to your faith; such as temperance; this will help you gain the mastery over any addiction.

What anyone who is struggling with addiction needs is to exercise rule over his spirit. You declare to yourself "I have self-control and I am going to put it to work; I have rule over my spirit." When you make such declarations, it will pilot you and help you bring your thoughts, will, emotions and physical senses into subjection to the Word of God. Self control is restraint exercised over one’s own impulses, emotions or desires. It means to hold oneself in.

2 Peter 1:5-6 says "And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance…." God wants you to have rule over your spirit, that is why He put these beautiful qualities in your spirit to make you fruitful always.

The Apostle Paul in (Galatians 5:22-23) lists temperance as a feature of your recreated human spirit: "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." No Christian should say "Well, I can’t control my desires" or "I have no rule over my spirit." What you need do is to let your spirit gain the mastery. Through the agency of the Word of God and the influence of God’s Spirit, your spirit is regulated to gain the mastery over your mind, body and emotions.

BLESS YOUR WORLD:

"Let him that stole, steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that is in need." (Ephesians 4:28)

Do you know that God wants you to bless your world? That is the reason He wants you to work with your hands, not because you will go hungry if you don’t. Jesus said: "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they?" (Matthew 6:26). If the birds and beasts don’t work and yet never go hungry, because God takes care of them, how much more will He take care of you, His peculiar treasure? God can take care of you. He however wants you to work so you can contribute to the development of your world.

As a Child of God, you should never be idle. Even if you don’t have a job yet, find something you’re good at; something that is good for God and good for people, and start doing it. Do not let this month go by without you doing something. Find a need, and reach out to meet it. It doesn’t matter how menial you might think your present job or assignment is, do it with dignity and excellence. Don’t be ashamed of what you do, and never look down on yourself. Remember, you’re a Child of God, and through you, the blessing comes  on whatever you’re involved in.

The Bible tells us that through a slave named Joseph, blessings came upon Potiphar’s house (Genesis 39:5). No matter what you do, let it be done excellently and for the betterment of your world. Become committed to making the world around you a better place. Let those around you feel your impact; let them be happy that God brought you their way. Your job is your door to the world; your opportunity to express yourself and the perfections God has deposited within you.

Psalms 139:14 says you are "…fearfully and wonderfully made…." That means you are one of a kind; a creation of complexity and wonder, not easily explained; that’s what you are. There’s so much blessing within you that the world can benefit from. That is why you have to make up your mind to be the best of you; for God wants to bless the world through you.

Hallelujah!

GIVE BIG:

"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully." (2 Corinthians 9:6)

Givers are very special to the Lord, and they rule the world. You can never be less than what you give, for the more you give, the more you receive. The Lord Jesus alluded to this when He said in Luke 6:38 "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom…."

Take the experience of Solomon for an example. The Bible records in 1 Kings 3:4 that he offered a thousand burnt offerings to God, and this moved the Lord to visit him that same night: "…the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee" (1 Kings 3:5). He got a blank cheque from the Lord for his big giving. This clearly shows that no matter how big we give, we can never out-give God.

Make up your mind to give bigger than you’ve ever done. Your giving begins with giving to God that which belongs to Him. That means your first fruit offerings and tithes. When you do this, He will surely multiply your seeds sown and increases your capacity to give, and you’ll have more and more.

VICTORY IN PERSECUTION:

"Yea and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." (2 Timothy 3:12)

Persecution is a promise for every believer. It is necessary for your promotion and will come at different levels in your life. It’s what makes you different from others and separates you from the crowd. Persecution is the harsh treatment from others to compel you to comply to their own way of doing things. As a Christian who lives by God’s Word, you will surely be persecuted. The Master confirmed this in John 15:20: "Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also."

Everyone who wants to be like Jesus must be ready to receive persecutions like He did. But the beautiful thing about it is, as you remain standing on God’s Word, irrespective of the persecutions that come your way, the Lord Himself will honor you. Jesus knew we would encounter problems and challenges in this world, but He confirmed that as we remain in Him, we would live a life of peace even in the face of adversity: "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulations: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).

You may wonder why God left us in this world of trials and temptations, or want to know why He allows trials to come our way in life. Well, the truth is God doesn’t mind trials or temptations coming your way since He knows He has already made you more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). 1 John 4:4 says, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

You should expect persecution and never be afraid of it; believe in it, it’s important. The measure of persecution that you face is the measure of training that you have. Irrespective of the diverse tests, persecutions or trials that you might face, rejoice; for they will be bread for you! All such contrary winds will only drive your roots deeper in God's hope.

BE A SOUL WINNER:

"And He said unto them, go ye into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature."
(Mark 16:15)

Soul winners are precious and influential people in the sight of God. As a child of God nothing should mean more to you than leading those in your world who have not yet known the Lord into salvation. This is something you must take very seriously by 2016, more than ever before.

2 Corinthians 5:19 says, "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation."

God has committed to you the ministry of reconciliation; not only did He call you into the fellowship of His Son Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:9), He’s also called you to partner with Him in soul winning. In Romans 12:11 we’re admonished not to be slothful in business, but to be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. It’s talking about being fervent in God’s number one business, which is soul winning.

You will experience even more success and progress in 2016 as you engage in soul winning and soul winning activities. Until you start winning people for Jesus, you’re not involved in God’s asset building. The Lord is always reaching out to the unsaved, to touch their lives with His power and Glory; but He can only do so through you. Therefore you must always be passionate about soul winning.

To be an effective soul winner, you must see beyond your present circumstances; you must see beyond every limitation and refuse anything obstructing your view in this great responsibility. Get rid of all distracting influences and fervently serve the Lord as a soul winner. It is your purpose for being. The Apostle Paul said in (1 Corinthians 9:16) "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel."
Keep sharing the Gospel with those in your sphere of contact; it is the right thing to do, and it’s what God demands. Have the knowledge that people are God’s greatest assets on earth. Amen!

THE WORD IN YOUR MOUTH:

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."(Proverbs 18:21)

Your life today is the reflection of your words through the years. You set spiritual forces in motion by words. If you are not satisfied with how your life has turned out, neither the devils nor your enemies are responsible. The power to have a fruitful, vibrant, productive and exciting life rests on you.

This is a fundamental principle in the Kingdom of God. Even our salvation is based on words: "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:8-10). To experience salvation, you must declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ, believing and acknowledging His resurrection and the new life He has given you.

Salvation is a word that completely expresses in a singular term, the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Salvation means you have been brought out of failure, debt, sickness, disease and infirmity into the liberty of the sons of God. Salvation means you’ve been delivered from sin into the life of righteousness. Your day-to-day confessions must align with these glorious realities, otherwise the blessings and benefits of salvation will not be evident in your life.

We rule by words in the Kingdom of God. By your words you’re justified, and by your words you’re condemned (Matthew 12:37). The words you speak will build your children, improve your finances, affect your body, and transform your business. Your words will determine the quality of your life. Therefore, always speak in consonance and line with the Word of |God.

When you declared your salvation in Christ, enormous power was released to bring you out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God. All you had to do was declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ with your mouth. In the same vein, you don not need any extra advantage to be a success in life because the Word of God already guarantees your success. The Word in your mouth is what you need.

GOD'S WORD IN YOUR HEART:

"He that refuses instruction despises his own soul: but he that hears reproof gets understanding."
  (Proverbs 15:32)

The only material that God gave to build your spirit is His Word, through the power of the Holy Spirit. There is no hope for the one who neglects God’s Word. The Bible says "Whoso despises the word shall be destroyed..." (Proverbs 13:13). As a child of God you must always open your heart to the Word and receive it into your spirit with faith, gladness and meekness: "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the en-grafted word, which is able to save your souls" (James 1:21). This verse doesn’t refer to the salvation from sin nor bringing you afresh into salvation. Rather, it refers to the preservation of the salvation of the human soul, the outworking of salvation in the human soul.

When you have the opportunity to hear God’s Word, go for it voraciously and apply it to your personal life. Acting on the Word is the only way to effect Kingdom realities in your personal life and live from glory to glory. You have to make the effort to act on God’s Word. Don’t ignore the Word; use it for your benefit. The blessings in the Word of God are for the doers of the Word (James 1:25).

There are those who ignorantly act in worldly wisdom; and the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. Acting on the Word consistently, is functioning in divine wisdom. The Word of God is the wisdom of God, and wisdom is what you need for success and excellence in life: "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom…" (Proverbs 4:7). Open your spirit to the Word at all times and act on the information, guidance, and counsel you receive from the Lord today.
