"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully." (2 Corinthians 9:6)
Givers
are very special to the Lord, and they rule the world. You can never be less
than what you give, for the more you give, the more you receive. The Lord Jesus
alluded to this when He said in Luke 6:38 "Give, and it shall be
given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running
over, shall men give into your bosom…."
Take the
experience of Solomon for an example. The Bible records in 1 Kings 3:4
that he offered a thousand burnt offerings to God, and this moved the Lord to
visit him that same night: "…the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by
night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee" (1 Kings 3:5). He
got a blank cheque from the Lord for his big giving. This clearly shows that no
matter how big we give, we can never out-give God.
Make up
your mind to give bigger than you’ve ever done. Your giving begins
with giving to God that which belongs to Him. That means your first fruit offerings and tithes. When you do this, He will surely multiply your seeds
sown and increases your capacity to give, and you’ll have more and more.
